Serve in Music
Musicians/Choir/Soloists/Handbells
Opportunities to use your musical talents abound during our worship services. From cantors (worship leaders) to violinists, handbells and the choir, we have a way to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord” for you! Contact our Director of Music Ministry, Nicole Moritz for more information.

Youth in 5th grade and above serve as acolytes at Calvary. They assist clergy during worship by lighting candles, carrying the cross and assisting with the distribution of Holy Communion. Please contact Lynnae Douglas for more information if your child is interested in serving the church in this role.

Ushers are involved in directing parishioners to their seats, ensuring safety of the building during service hours, guiding traffic, helping visitors and answering questions. This role is vital to the church! Contact us for more info on how to serve.

A lector (or reader) is a trained lay minister who proclaims the first and second scripture readings during our worship services and prepares by studying the text beforehand. We have adult and youth lectors. Contact Lynnae Douglas if you are interested in reading the Word during our worship services.
