Christ centered,
Biblically grounded, Historically rooted.
Calvary Lutheran Church is a family of Christians directed by the Holy Spirit and growing as disciples of Jesus through worship, Biblical study and prayer that is shared with the community and the world. Christ-Centered, we confess the apostolic faith in Jesus Christ according to the Holy Scriptures.
We affirm the authority of the Scriptures as the authoritative source and norm, “according to which all doctrines should and must be judged” (Formula of Concord).
We accept the ecumenical creeds and the Lutheran Confessions as true witnesses to the Word of God. Mission-Driven, we believe that the mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel and to make disciples for Christ.
We believe that making disciples – in our congregations, in our communities and nations, and around the world – must be a priority of the Church in the present age.
Calvary is a member of the North American Lutheran Church.
Christ Centered
We confess the apostolic faith in Jesus Christ according to the Holy Scriptures. We affirm the authority of Scripture as the final source and norm for faith and life—“according to which all doctrines should and must be judged” (Formula of Concord). We accept the ecumenical creeds and the Lutheran Confessions as true and faithful witnesses to the Word of God.
Mission Driven
We believe that the mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel and to make disciples for Christ. We believe that making disciples in our congregations, in our communities and nations, and around the world must be a priority of the Church in the present age.
Traditionally Grounded
We affirm the ecumenical creeds and the faithful witness of the Church across time and space. We endorse the form and practices of the universal Church that are consistent with Scripture, particularly the office of the ministry and the tradition of worship under Word and Sacrament. We seek dialogue and fellowship with other Lutheran churches and with faithful Christians of other confessions.
Congregational Focused
We strive to be a church that is organized to facilitate the ministries of local congregations in a posture of servanthood and a spirit of partnership, through the provision of resources, connections and information.

SENIOR PASTOR
Lynnae Douglas
DIRECTOR OF MINISTRY & CARE
Lynnae grew up in upstate New York and was taught to love Scripture from an early age. She eventually went to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in pursuit of being a missionary, but the Lord redirected her steps. There she met and married her husband Caleb. Together, they sensed a call to serve Christ by serving in the church. They went to the North American Lutheran Seminary, from which she graduated in 2018. She and her husband have six children and are zealous to hand on the faith both in the “little church” that is their home, as well as in the wider church to which they’ve been called. The Douglases love to spend time together outdoors, reading, playing games, and just about any sport.
Nicole Moritz
DIRECTOR OF MUSIC MINISTRY
Nicole came to Calvary after serving for 13 years at Pilgrim Lutheran in Wauwatosa, as the Music Director and organist. She earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Church Music from Bob Jones University. She also has three years’ experience teaching in a parochial school, and varied volunteer experiences with VBS and Sunday School. She loves working with folks of all ages and has a passion to glorify God through music and bless our fellow humans. Nicole and her husband Bryant have two children Sean and Grace.
Cindy Rooks
FINANCIAL SECRETARY
Cindy and her family have been members of Calvary Lutheran Church for over 25 years. During that time, Cindy has been involved in several committees and is currently a Sunday School Teacher. She and her husband, Rich, are the proud parents of two children and four grandchildren whom they enjoy spending time with golfing, swimming, reading, “gaming”, and Sunday dinners.
Cindy Zilske
Cindy was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. She has a husband (Bill) and two grown daughters (Amanda and Michelle). Her passion for reflecting God’s love to all is what led her to Calvary Lutheran Church. She currently serves her home church in Waukesha as a Greeter, Communion Assistant and ringer with the Handbell Choir. Outside of hours Cindy enjoys cooking, baking, camping, hiking, fishing, roller skating and spending time with family and friends.
