The focus of the Contemporary Music Team is to worship God by guiding the congregation in contemporary worship. Our goal is that the environment be enjoyable to all members while continuing the tradition of excellence in contemporary music at Calvary. We currently have several groups, or Praise Bands, which allow for a variety in the sounds of music we perform and flexibility in scheduling with the groups rehearsing at different times.
Calvary's contemporary music team provides music at both contemporary & blended worship services. Music at our contemporary services encompasses a wide variety of styles and takes on various forms - Christian pop & rock, bluegrass, contemporary arrangements of traditional hymns, etc. - with the message of every song grounded in the Word of God.
The make-up of our groups varies, and we always encourage "new talent". Whether you sing or play an instrument, everyone is welcome to join our team -once, ocassionally, or regularly. Groups lead worship about once per month. Contact the church office if you are interested in being a part of the Contemporary Music Team at Calvary.

Members of our Contemporary Music Team serve in other areas of God's church besides leading worship - from serving a midweek Lenten meal (pictured at right), to providing music for a concert or other function, to being a part of the "Tech Team" and running A/V equipment.
